Privacy Policy

The short version

Dromify (“the app”) is made by Tallahootie (“we”). It is a client for self-hosted Subsonic-API music servers such as Navidrome. It has no user accounts and no backend of our own. We do not collect, receive, store, sell, or share any information about you or your use of the app. Everything the app stores stays on your device or in your own iCloud account.

Information we collect

None. The app contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs, does not use MetricKit, and never asks for permission to track you. We operate no servers that the app reports to, so we receive no usage data, device identifiers, location, contacts, or browsing activity.

Your server connection

To reach your music server, the app stores the server address and your username in its local settings, and your password in the device keychain. On Apple Watch^®, where there is no separate keychain, the connection details — including the password — are kept in the watch app’s local storage.

On iPhone^® and iPad^® the app also works with iOS Password AutoFill: iOS may offer to save your server password into the Apple^® Passwords app. Accepting that system prompt is your choice — see iCloud below.

Data stored on your device

The following is kept on your device only, and is never uploaded to us or anyone else:

• a local database of cached browsing data, downloaded tracks and their records, playback settings, and saved server profiles;
• your list of recently used server addresses, and interface preferences;
• a plain-text diagnostics log of recently played track titles and times, in the app’s Application Support folder. It exists for troubleshooting, is never sent anywhere automatically, and you can view or share it yourself.

The app keeps no search history and no pending-scrobble queue. Removing a download, or deleting the app, removes this data.

iCloud

Two features can place data in your own iCloud account, under Apple’s control and never accessible to us:

• Seasonal Filters. If you use this feature, the genre rules and per-song exceptions you create are stored in iCloud key-value storage so they stay in sync across your devices.
• A saved password. If you accept the iOS prompt to save your server password to the Apple Passwords app, Apple syncs that copy across your devices through iCloud Keychain. The app itself marks no credential for syncing; you can decline the prompt or delete the entry in Settings.

iCloud data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

In-app purchases

Dromify offers a one-time Pro unlock and optional tips as in-app purchases, handled by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We never receive or see your payment details; Apple tells the app only whether a purchase or restore succeeded. The app stores just a local flag recording whether Pro is unlocked.

Network connections

The app connects only to the server address you configure, to browse your library, stream and download audio, and fetch artwork. There are no other hosts in the app. To support servers on plain HTTP or with self-signed certificates, the app’s transport-security settings permit connections to any host at the operating-system level, but the code only ever contacts your server. Whatever logging your server performs is governed by that server’s own policies.

Siri, Shortcuts, and CarPlay

When you use voice commands, App Shortcuts, or CarPlay, the request is handled by Apple on your device and, where applicable, Apple’s services, under Apple’s Privacy Policy. The app only receives the resolved action (for example, “play this album”) and carries it out against your server.

Diagnostics

We use no third-party crash-reporting or analytics service. If you have turned on “Share with App Developers” under Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may send us aggregated, anonymised crash and performance reports; you can turn that off there at any time. Beta (TestFlight) builds also send crash and basic usage information to us through Apple, per Apple’s TestFlight terms.

Children

The app is not directed to children and collects no personal information from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the date above.
